We’re back with a little repost from Jess’ Home-Café (might be bringing that back 👀) featuring one of my absolute favorite summer drinks 😌. It’s basically my take on a Starbucks sweet cream cold brew—though, full disclosure, I’ve never actually tried theirs, so this is just my best guess. It’s low-key refreshing yet sweet, rich, and so creamyyy—without being too heavy or filling like lattes can sometimes be.
Ingredients
For the drink:
- Ice
- 1 shot of espresso ☺️
- Water
For the sweet cream cold foam:
- 2 tbsp double cream
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp – 1 tbsp sweetener (adjust to taste)
Method
- Make the espresso – Brew 1 shot of espresso and let it cool slightly.
- Fill your glass – Add plenty of ice, pour in the espresso, and top up with cold water to your preferred strength.
- Make the sweet cream cold foam – In a small jug or frother, combine double cream, milk, and sweetener. Froth until thick but still pourable.
- Top and enjoy – Gently pour the foam over your iced Americano and sip away. 😌
