Iced Americano with Sweet Cream Cold Foam

We’re back with a little repost from Jess’ Home-Café (might be bringing that back 👀) featuring one of my absolute favorite summer drinks 😌. It’s basically my take on a Starbucks sweet cream cold brew—though, full disclosure, I’ve never actually tried theirs, so this is just my best guess. It’s low-key refreshing yet sweet, rich, and so creamyyy—without being too heavy or filling like lattes can sometimes be.

Ingredients

For the drink:

  • Ice
  • 1 shot of espresso ☺️
  • Water

For the sweet cream cold foam:

  • 2 tbsp double cream
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp – 1 tbsp sweetener (adjust to taste)

Method

  1. Make the espresso – Brew 1 shot of espresso and let it cool slightly.
  2. Fill your glass – Add plenty of ice, pour in the espresso, and top up with cold water to your preferred strength.
  3. Make the sweet cream cold foam – In a small jug or frother, combine double cream, milk, and sweetener. Froth until thick but still pourable.
  4. Top and enjoy – Gently pour the foam over your iced Americano and sip away. 😌
