Welcome kittens, it's Jess!

It’s your girl Jess and I'm finally here with my own corner of the internet (it’s been a long time coming!).

I was born and raised in Macau - basically the Las Vegas of Asia and next door neighbour of Hong Kong - but I’m originally from India, and now based in London. I know… its giving big Third Culture Kid energy.

Here’s the funny part: you’d think with how much I love cooking and eating these days, that it’s always been this way. But honestly? I used to be a very picky eater growing up and never really wanted to step foot in a kitchen (and didn’t really need to) until I started university.

Instead of going catered, I chose the self-catered route (aka the bane of my existence at first cause I never even cooked rice at this point), and this is where my love for food began. What started off as me trying to recreate the meals I grew up eating gradually turned into a passion - one that really took off during lockdown.

So what began as a way to ease homesickness has since grown into a vibrant online presence - something I never expected to happen but feel so thankful and grateful for!

My mission now is simple: to share recipes that are approachable (well, most of the time 😅), delicious, full of flavour, and mostly Asian-inspired - because deep down, I’m still just a girl who misses the taste of home. You’ll find all of this (and more) on my Instagram and TikTok!
